The mobile skid supports the Dry Mining Unit (DMU) by providing a secure working area to maintain equipment and store consumables and spares. The skid is dragged across the sand by bulldozers.
It consists of two 6 m containers — one for ablutions and tool room, the second for storage of spares. Together with the ablution container, a quarter-height container houses the raw-water and waste-water conservancy tanks.
Twistlock Africa supplied the connection hardware via the SMPP contractor. Developer: Hatch. Partners: ADP Group, Telenetix, Challenge 2000.
