The bridge clamp locks the top corner castings of two side-by-side containers together horizontally. Its two hooks engage the top apertures, or the side apertures, of two adjacent top corner castings and are drawn together on a threaded rod turned at the central hex, then held by a lock nut. Used with twistlocks, it turns a row of containers into one braced block, locked both vertically and horizontally. Twistlock Africa supplies two lengths: 280 mm and 380 mm, for different gaps between containers. Correct use: horizontal only — both hooks in the top apertures, or both in the side apertures. Never vertical.
