The stacking spacer lets a shorter container sit squarely on a longer one: a 3 m container on a 6 m or 12 m container, or a 6 m container on a 12 m container. Placed at the corner positions of the upper container, it spreads the load into the lower container, stops the upper container shifting in adverse weather and secures to the bottom corner casting through a purpose-designed internal locking mechanism.
