Container fabrication and repair; replacement of damaged or corroded corner castings.
The corner casting is the fitting every other piece of container handling and securing equipment engages — twistlocks, lifting lugs, lashing points and stacking all connect through it. Twistlock Africa supplies replacement sets in low-temperature-rated steel (-40°C) to the standard ISO 1161 geometry, individually by corner position or as a set of eight covering all four positions. Top and bottom castings share the same size and opening, keeping stock simple.

Carbon steel and stainless steel: the design loads of ISO 1161:2016. Aluminium: those loads derated in proportion to minimum tensile strength against SCW480 (480 MPa) — EN AW-7020-T6 350 MPa (×0.73), A356-T6 234 MPa (×0.49). Aluminium corner castings are made to ISO 1161 dimensions but are not rated to its design loads. Design loads are the loads a fitting is designed and tested to, not a safe working load for lifting gear — ask an engineer for a site-specific rating.
