A well-established industry-standard fitting that inserts into the side hole of the bottom corner casting — two left-hand and two right-hand lugs per set, pointed towards each other when correctly installed. Rated by the maker at W.L.L. 40 t per set of 4 at a 36° sling angle, or 32 t at 50° (10 t / 8 t per lug), with DNV type approval TAS00003Y2. As certified lifting equipment it must not be dropped on hard surfaces and should be used only for its intended container-lifting purpose; a shackle connects it to the lashing or lifting equipment above.
