A well-established industry-standard fitting that inserts into the side hole of the bottom corner casting — two left-hand and two right-hand lugs per set, pointed towards each other when correctly installed. As certified lifting equipment it must not be dropped on hard surfaces and should be used only for its intended container-lifting purpose; a shackle connects it to the lashing or lifting equipment above. A second, lateral lifting lug variant carries independent third-party type approval rating it to 10 t SWL at a 36° sling angle or 8 t at 50°.

Container corner jack for levelling or full-container lifting; used with a 10-ton hydraulic jack, lifting each corner up to a maximum of 250 mm. A minimum of two is recommended, used as a pair to lift two adjacent corners.
