The rubber castor is the rough-ground end of the castor range: a 22-inch rubber-tyred wheel on a swivel castor with a dovetail twistlock mechanism, so it installs into the corner casting without drilling or welding. Each wheel is rated 2.25 t and it is specified as a set of four — 9 000 kg at up to 10 km/h, or 5 000 kg up to 20 km/h. The tyre absorbs the shock loads that break solid-wheel castors on rougher ground.
