Bottom-entry castor wheels let a shipping container be manoeuvred and towed on hard, flat surfaces. Each castor locks into a bottom corner casting through a dovetail twistlock interface, so no drilling or welding is needed on the container. Three capacities per castor — 1.8 t on a single wheel, 3.5 t and 5.0 t on twin wheels — each as a swivel or a fixed castor, supplied with (-TL) or without (-PL) the twistlock. Every castor has a thumb-screw brake onto the wheel rim. Swivel housing with a precision thrust bearing and an angular-contact thrust bearing, threaded main stem for bearing preload, sealed bearings. Hard, flat, prepared surfaces only — concrete, paving or asphalt; not for use on public roads.
