This anchor twistlock unit is designed to secure a shipping container to concrete foundations. It is intended to be used with either a RAWL bolt or a chemical anchor.
Once installed, the bottom of the twistlock is designed to be flush with the bottom of the container, preventing the anchor bolt from being cut.
Two variants are available:
- Standard unit where the washer and nut are exposed for removal. Material of construction is mild steel.
- Security unit where the washer and nut are recessed in a pocket that can be filled with epoxy once the twistlock is installed with the anchor bolt. The top of the twistlock is fitted with a 3CR12 plate to resist the twistlock from being cut with a torch or angle grinder.
Installation is simple, with the twistlock being inserted into the corner casting and turned. This allows the location of the anchor bolt to be marked onto the concrete. The hole can be drilled through the twistlock, after which the powder from the drilling can be removed and the anchor bolt installed through the twistlock.
The security twistlock is suitable for permanent installations of containers. Once installed, removal will be very difficult.
