The container lifting lug is used to safely lift shipping containers using the appropriate techniques. The lifting lugs minimize the exertion of forces on containers if they have not been designed to accommodate lifting via the corner castings.
This container lifting lug can easily be inserted into a corner casting and also has an added safety feature, i.e., the black slider which falls into place once the lug has been inserted and twisted into the corner casting.
To remove the lug, simply lift the black slider and twistlock the lug 90° and pull it out of the corner casting and store it correctly.
As this is a certified piece of lifting equipment, it should be handled with care and not dropped onto hard surfaces, which could remove paint. The lug should not be used for any other purpose other than for what it is intended for, lifting of containers, in pairs of 2 or 4.
